Kentucky’s HANDS supports families as they build healthy, safe environments
for the optimal growth and development of children.
Every child is wanted and cared for in a stimulating and nurturing environment.
Registered nurses and trained paraprofessionals are available to visit with first time Moms and Dads to provide counseling and education. A Growing Great Kids Curriculum is utilized to assist new parents by providing up-to-date helpful information on how to care for the first baby.
HANDS is a voluntary home visitation program for moms, dads, and families. HANDS answers these kinds of quesitons and provides parents with support in developing a parent-child relationship, at no cost to the family.
Who can participate?
Any parent (mom/dad) expecting a new baby
Families must be enrolled prenatally or before a child is 90 days old.
